| After months of careful planning, NYDKS Officials
are proud to announce the 2012 NYDKS Schedule!
2012's offering will include all 6 stops from 2011, and
2 new stops. "We wanted to show our appreciation
for all the tracks that supported us in 2011, but we
also wanted to offer something a little different as
well." commented NYDKS President Shawn Jeffery.
"We feel that the 2012 schedule takes care of both of
these goals."
2012's first stop will be in Geneva NY at Paradise
Speedway on Saturday, April 28th. Paradise was the
home of 2 NYDKS races in 2011 (one point and one special
show). At 1/4 mile, Paradise is the biggest
speedway on the tour, and will make a great opening
spot. "We like to say that Paradise is the Daytona
Speedway of the Series." commented NYDKS Race Director
Dan Heschke. "The series drivers really love
coming to Paradise!"
The second stop on the 2012 tour will be on Saturday,
May 12th at Caroga Creek Raceway in Ephratah, NY.
Last year's show provided the NYDKS with the largest
kart counts, and 2012's race will be run in conjunction
with a big Friday race.
2012's third visit will be on Saturday, June 16th at
Turkey Trot Raceway, in Fort Edward, NY. (The
original June 9th date was changed to accommodate the
Stonybrook Speedway PDKS Race). Located
near Glens Falls NY, Turkey Trot's scenic backdrop is a
welcome stop for the NYDKS
2 Weeks later on Saturday, June 23rd, the Series will
visit Limerock Speedway in Caledonia, NY for stop number
4. Also home to Micro Sprints, Limerock's race in
2012 boasted over 120 entries. 2012's race should
be no different.
After a 4 week hiatus, stop number 5 will find the
Series at Ransomville Speedway on Saturday, July 21st.
Ransomville Speedway is famous for hosting Stock Car
races for over 50 years. Located just fifteen
minutes from Niagara Falls, travelers are encouraged to
make a vacation out of their trip to Ransomville.
Saturday, August 18th will find the Series on race
number 6, at their first new speedway of the year:
Allegany Memorial Speedway. AMS races weekly on
Thursdays and Fridays. Series racers will be
welcomed with some special races geared towards NYDKS
rules on the Friday before the race.
Saturday, September 8th will find the series at their
2nd new track of the season: Starlite Speedway.
"We started talking with Starlite late in 2011, because
we have heard so many great things about the track."
commented NYDKS Race Director Dan Heschke. "Starlite's
big Clone race at the end of the year proved to us that
they would be a welcome addition to the 2012 schedule."
The final stop on the 2012 NYDKS Schedule will be
stop number 8 at Frozen Ocean Speedway in Auburn, NY.
Located just south of beautiful Owasco Lake, Frozen
Ocean was also the final stop on the 2011 NYDKS
campaign. "Were happy to have Frozen Ocean back on
board." commented NYDKS President Shawn Jeffery.
"With Rich Murtaugh starting his own RMR Series in 2012,
it's important that we all work together to achieve a
common goal that will benefit all karters."
